Formerly the domain of the late, great Dick Bradsell, this LA Low Rider dive continues to uphold the philosophy of the much-lamented London bartender – namely great drinks and good times in fine company. There’s barely enough room to swing a Chihuahua, but this sociable cellar gets rammed to the rafters – so negotiating (free) membership is a smart move if you're hoping to join the late-night fiesta. Expect spontaneous wild disco dancing (albeit ‘on the spot’), fuelled by over 300 of Mexico's finest mezcals and Tequilas: knock 'em back neat, with red sangrita – never lime and salt. Sip and savour class acts such as Don Fulano, with (Don) Abraham, Agustin, Anastacio, Alvaro, Eduardo, Julio, Nacho and Tacho in the chasing pack. Otherwise, big, bold Chicano-style Margaritas, Daiquiris and Brazilian batidas will keep you in the pink.
