Replacing the old Pavilion Restaurant, this new bar and grill at Kew Gardens offers fast casual dining all year round. Found near Temperate House and the Great Padoga, the restaurant benefits from a gorgeous outdoor area where the original ornamental vines have been incorporated into a new planted landscape created by Kew’s horticulturists.
The interiors here reflect the surroundings and are based around natural materials and muted tones, while food is served from an open kitchen. The menu majors in charcoal-grilled dishes such as barbecue and orange pork belly ribs, a fire-roasted halloumi and vegetable stack, or spatchcock chicken, which can be seasoned with herbs and lemon or smoked paprika piri piri.
If you’re just looking to take in the leafy surrounds over a drink or two, you can pick from a selection of wines, beers and cocktails at the bar, or opt for a coffee or a fresh juice if you’re visiting earlier in the day.
Got the family with you? The Pavilion Bar & Grill has a children’s menu to take advantage of, including the likes of mac ‘n’ cheese, barbecued chicken wings and a family sharing platter.
