The Manor Restaurant in Tooting claims to be “The perfect place for cold beer, great food, live sports, music and entertainment”. Certainly, there is a lot going on within the restaurant’s space, especially as every Thursday there is a pub quiz, live music on Fridays, brunch on Saturdays, and roasts on Sundays. We have to admit, there is definitely a sense of celebration at The Manor.
The restaurant is situated on Tooting High Street and there is also some outdoor seating available for those passing by on a sunny day. Inside, the interior is cosy and accommodating, making it a great place for the events on offer. Alongside the weekly live music events that feature different styles of music from upcoming artists, there is an enticing food and drinks menu to go alongside the entertainment. For instance, the restaurant has recently responded to some bad weather by creating some Captain Morgan Tiki jugs (mango and pineapple rum mixed with fresh lime and lemonade) in a bid to keep the sun shining in some form! Although this may not permanently stay on the menu, it demonstrates The Manor’s desire to keep things fun.
The menu contains some British classics that no pub would be complete without – think Bangers and Mash, Fish and Chips and a British Angus Beef Burger. Aside from this, there are options that round out the menu, such as a veggie or chicken curry, halloumi salad, and spring rolls. Brunch has increasingly become a popular option in recent times and The Manor is not shy in its participation. From 12pm-3pm guests can choose from the range of breakfast foods, such as eggs Florentine, waffles, English breakfast and more. Prices are decent, neither inexpensive nor overpriced, and ultimately reflective of London’s typical numbers. A Sunday roast would set you back around £15.96 - or £22 with added cauliflower cheese!
