Tucked away behind an unmarked Egyptian blue door on Fulham Road, The Little Blue Door is a unique and vibrant bar and restaurant serving up house-party nostalgia, killer cocktails, and inventive bar food. Run by the same team behind The Little Yellow Door pop-up, The Little Scarlet Door, and The Little Orange Door the concept follows a fictional flatshare bar with an intoxicatingly buzzy house party vibe.
The open-plan living room - complete with sofas, coffee tables and armchairs - is peppered with eclectic prints, paintings, and plants to spark your own home design ambitions. It's a homey, intimate space, where conversation can spark by the fireplace unimpeded by the pressures of a traditional service bar environment. Of course, as with any house party, the kitchen is the true hub of The Little Blue Door. Here you’ll find a kitchen-bar hybrid decked out with bright-coloured tiles, counter seating, and a bartender ready to mix up your perfect sip before you head over to the dancefloor.
The house cocktails are inspired by the films the ‘flatmates’ hold dear. So whether you see yourself enjoying a ‘Mary Poppins’ style concoction of cucumber-infused vodka, St Germain, Martini Ambrato and apple served in a stylish coupe, or a ‘Mad Men’ mixture of Monkey Shoulder Whiskey, Martini Rosso, and Luxardo Disaronno each cocktail has been thoughtfully composed for maximum enjoyment.
When it comes to the food, expect the standard fare of olives and bar nuts, along with a selection of small plates and sharing dishes. Think, sea bream tacos with tartare sauce and pea puree, a mezze of feta spinach dip and spicy moutabel with pitta and crudetes, along with a selection of small bites, fritters and sausage rolls. And if you need something a little more substantial, The Little Blue Door Menu includes a selection of meat and vegetarian burgers and fries for an evening pick-me-up.
