The Listing is a sprawling 1950s-style bar and restaurant by Cannon Street Station. Youngish, mid-market suits are the target regulars, enticed by lad lagers, palatable house wines (a ripe South African Chenin Blanc for instance) and cocktails such as Mezcalita, Earl Grey Vodkatini and Pisco Sour. Their loud chatter competes with the clatter of hard surfaces and random retro pop. Food is similarly eclectic; our starters of juicy, plump prawn lollipops and chicken satay skewers pass muster, though cold tofu spring rolls get a lukewarm reception. Pub-priced mains include passable sea bass with chorizo, spinach and braised fennel, and salty, but tender, steak and ale pie with buttery mash. We finish with two slivers of good Westcombe Cheddar and a big portion of individual gritty crumble over mixed berries with vanilla ice.
