Three roaring log fires, a sweeping bar, polished wood floors, leather chairs & sofas add up to a classic gastropub look at the Lambert Arms. Traditional fillers such as homemade burgers, local
sausages or fish & chips are part of a please-all repertoire that extends to grilled Cornish mackerel with smoked bacon & new potato salad with celeriac velouté or Chalford Manor sirloin
steak with rösti, roasted root vegetables, red wine jus & a red onion sorbet. It’s a flexible menu that promises one-dish grazing as well as three-course blowouts in the bar, the small
contemporary dining room or the courtyard (weather permitting). Elsewhere, three real ales attract local drinkers & there are nine smartly designed bedrooms in the pub for those wishing to make
a weekend of it. Conference facilities & treatment rooms are separate, as are a further 35 bedrooms.
