The King’s Head, Teddington is a welcoming pub and brasserie serving an a la carte menu and Sunday lunch. The King’s Head is well positioned to enjoy a stroll along the river Thames, or to stop off on your way home from the match at Twickenham Stadium. Thomas Puthumana has been the Head Chef at The King’s Head since it opened 9 years ago, working in the open kitchen Thomas oversees all dishes leaving the pass to ensure exceptional taste and quality.
The King’s Head is part of Raymond Blanc’s White Brasserie Company group, they serve a seasonal British and French inspired menu with many classic dishes and favourites to choose from.
The seasonal menu varies however starters may include tempting sounding dishes such as the chicken liver parfait served with onion marmalade and toasted brioche, and the vegetarian mezze platter served with houmous, pomegranate and flatbreads. There is also a hot smoked salmon dish served with horseradish crème fraiche, and a Mediterranean fish soup served with gruyere croutons.
Main courses include a good selection of matured, grass fed steaks, plus plenty of fish dishes and other favourites such as Cornish beef burger and a halloumi burger served with homemade coleslaw. There are plenty of sides and sharers such as garlic baguette, sweet potato fries, and buttered green veg.
Desserts include a sticky toffee pudding and a poached rhubarb crumble. There is also a good selection of ice cream and sorbets with tempting flavours such as salted caramel, coconut and green apple.
There is a good wine list available, as well as a cocktail and mocktail menu. The King’s Head also has a pretty outdoor tented area which is lined with pastel bunting and festoon lighting. There is also a children’s menu, and a junior menu available.
