About

The Kensington Arms, or affectionately known to regulars as The Kenny, is a long standing favourite of those in the area. Here, the team is not about anything flashy – just genuine British ingredients and dishes using the finest produce that the West Country has to offer. Here you will enjoy beautifully aged beef, fresh fish, seafood, and locally sourced Bristol veg, all expertly cooked over wood and coal. The menu features a range of modern British dishes, hearty pub classics, and a Sunday roast that's nothing short of amazing. Every dish is homemade, hand prepared, and crafted with a focus on responsibly and locally sourced ingredients, ensuring the best possible dining experience.

Cured Chalk stream trout, smoked roe, orange and radish salad is the first starter on the menu, followed by crispy lamb belly with Mignonette and mint, and white onion soup with Girolle, crouton and cheddar. Main courses include bavette steak with slow roast onion, Jacob's ladder, bone marrow sauce, parsley and shallot and hand cut fries, a cheddar gnocchi with whipped butternut squash, Bath blue, candied walnut and sage, and the catch of the day fish special. Chops and steaks include the 1kg of Hereford beef rib, a pork chop, and dry aged rump cap, with a range of butters and sauces. If you want something on the side, enjoy crispy new potatoes with roast garlic and herb butter, some chipotle salted house cut fries, and chargrilled hispi cabbage with a roasted hazelnut and chilli dressing.

FInish your lovely meal with sticky ale pudding with house vanilla and cider butterscotch sauce, or the mandarin sorbet. If you prefer a salty end, try the Baron Bigod with truffle honey and sourdough crackers.
