The Hungry Guest brand is all about combining renowned artisan foods and quality everyday supplies. We cater for our customers’ every day needs as well as continually satisfying their high expectations for locally sourced, quality goods.
The Hungry Guest first opened its doors in the market town of Petworth, West Sussex in November 2011 following the vision and creativity of its co-founder, the Danish-born master baker Troels Bendix.
In 2011 he brought his passion and expertise to West Sussex and opened up our Petworth café, serving delicious freshly-baked breads, tasty lunches, homemade cakes and coffee daily to visitors and residents of the picturesque market town. Shortly after this our first shop opened which has gone on to win UK Delicatessen of the Year in 2015 and again, for the second year running, in 2016.
Our mission is to evoke passion and appreciation in all our customers and visitors through our dedication to source fresh, local produce wherever possible as well as supplying renowned artisan products at accessible prices to excite every taste bud!
