The Horse and Groom is a 16th century inn, located in the Cotswold village of Upper Oddington. With en suite bedrooms and a large beer garden The Horse and Groom enjoys an idyllic spot in the heart of the Cotswolds.
The Horse and Groom serves a simple seasonal menu for lunch and dinner, the pub also serves Sunday lunch and a weekly Sunday pie night. The lunch menu features many traditional favourites such as soup of the day, grilled steak and a crispy buttermilk chicken burger. Evening meals include many tempting looking dishes including smoked beef brisket with chips, line caught loin of cod served with crispy battered scraps, and venison fillet served with wild mushrooms and creamy mash. It is the ethos of the Horse and Groom to use ingredients fully without waste, wherever possible.
Desserts include poached pear with meringue, sticky toffee pudding served with ice cream and triple chocolate brownie. All dishes on the menu vary depending on season and supply.
There is also a good Sunday lunch menu offering a wide choice of starters, roasts, and mains. Choose between smoked loin of pork with crackling and apple sauce, Cotswold roasted beef, roast chicken or roast shoulder of lamb. There is also a vegetarian option of carrot and cashew wellington served with veggie gravy.
There is a separate menu for Sunday pie night, which varies each week. The Horse and Groom also has a small shop and deli serving pantry essentials and coffee.
