The hamlet of Perry Green is now synonymous with British sculpture & plays host to the Henry Moore Foundation, with acres of monumental exhibits attracting an arty crowd. Moore lived here &
regularly used the Hoops as his local, often in company with high-profile guests such as Lauren Bacall & TS Eliot. Following a revamp, it’s now in the hands of Mark & Lowri Williams, who
did great things at the Groes Inn in Wales. Mark’s cooking takes its cue from the British larder, whether he is cooking a Sunday roast of Middle White pork loin or tackling a special such as
monkfish & fennel stew; he also dishes up burgers, battered haddock & sweet treats such as clementine & almond cake. This is an appealing package, complete with locally brewed ales
& ciders, alfresco BBQs & a rustic interior stuffed with references to Henry Moore himself.
