Originally called “The New Inn” The Forester has been a public house since the 15th century. The beautiful old thatched building is made from greensand stone. Inside The Forester still retains that old-world feeling with the large inglenook fireplace, stone walls, and original beamed ceilings.
Food and drink should be the business of anticipation, passion, and celebration. At The Forester, we strive to make sure that your visit encompasses all of these.
There is only one rule at The Forester – And that is to find the freshest produce you can and let it speak for itself – other flavors added only seek to compliment.
At the Forester, we are mindful of the sustainability of the fish we buy, and source all our seafood from Devon and Cornish waters with the majority from day boats.
Food is served all day from 12 to 9 pm Monday to Saturday, and Sunday from 12 to 8 pm.
