Situated within the historic confines of a medieval drapers shop in central Canterbury, The Drapers Arms is a quintessential pub offering a distinctive Asian-inspired street food menu, extending a warm welcome day and night throughout the week. Venture upstairs to the first floor dining room, decorated with a beautifully restored internal balcony, and discover an exclusive rooftop terrace that gazes over Guildhall Street—available for private events accommodating groups of up to 80. On the ground floor, the restaurant provides street side tables, making it an ideal spot to spend a leisurely afternoon indulging in the fun pastime of people-watching.
Although the Asian inspired street food menu and brunch is often changing, you can view the restaurant’s pizza menu online, which is part of a collaboration with Chapter X. Start with a small plate of tomato arancini with parmesan and arrabiata sauce, or a Caesar salad. If you don't fancy a pizza, try the wood oven baked lasagne, packed with beef ragu, tomato sauce, bechamel and parmesan. The woodfired pizzas include toppings of prosciutto cotto and chestnut mushrooms, a four cheese option and salami with parmesan, to the mushroom, rosemary, potato and emmental option, and the classic napolitana with tomato, fior di latte, black olives, capers, anchovies, garlic and oregano.
