The Cricketers, Cobham is a pretty village pub and brasserie serving a seasonal a la carte menu. The Cricketers has a large and airy brasserie with an open-kitchen, plus there is a bar area and a semi-private snug which is perfect for family meals and celebrations. There is also covered outdoor seating.
There is a main a la carte menu, as well as a Sunday lunch menu. You can also contact The Cricketers if you’re looking for a set menu for larger gatherings or special occasions.
If you’re heading to The Cricketers for dinner you may wish to kick things off with one of their popular starters such as the cheese souffle served with Wyke cheddar sauce, or perhaps you would prefer to begin with some Rustica olives and a glass of prosecco. There are plenty of starters and nibbles to begin your meal, with other favourites including chicken parfait served with toasted brioche and onion marmalade, and a Mediterranean fish soup served with gruyere cheese croutons.
Main dishes include a selection of meat and fish dishes, as well as vegetarian options. Perhaps you will go for the slow cooked beef bourguignon made with a red wine sauce and smooth mash, or if you’re looking for something lighter why not try the pea and broad bean salad served with deep fried goat’s cheese and a chilli dressing.
If you’re looking for a classic steak you will find 30-day dry aged sirloin and fillet steaks, steak frites and chateaubriand on the menu. You can add your own sauce, choose between bearnaise, pepper or Roquefort. Side dishes include salads, fries and buttered greens.
Desserts feature many classic favourites such as sticky toffee pudding and rhubarb crumble. There is also a pistachio souffle served with rich chocolate sauce, and plenty of ice cream and sorbet to choose from. You may also wish to go for a freshly brewed coffee served with a trio of truffles, or perhaps an after-dinner cocktail such as an espresso martini or an Amaretto sour.
This pretty village pub enjoys a rural position and is an ideal stop-off for those visiting the surrounding areas. It is part of Raymond Blanc’s White Brasserie Company Group.
