Exclusivity at its finest is found within the walls of The Colony Club, one of Mayfair's most decadent spots for dining and gambling. Located just off Park Lane, members are welcomed to enjoy the casino spaces as well as the intimate, discreet and stylish lounge bar. A winding staircase leads guests to the exclusive restaurant, a dining room of contemporary decadence dressed with hand-chosen fabrics, textured walls and feature lighting.
Open until late, members and their guests can indulge in the very finest of cuisines from either the a la carte menu or the teppanyaki menu which combines fresh ingredients with the theatre of live cooking at the teppanyaki bar. Dining at The Colony Club is one that will leave guests in awe and members coming back for more.
The menu is all about elegance, starting off with a caviar selection served with blinis, sour cream, shallots, chopped egg and fresh parsley. Delicate crab is highlighted in the starters, starring in a dish with compressed cucumber and pear as well as in a crab bisque with tarragon and chervil.
On to the mains and it is truly a modern European affair with fresh seafood plates like whole sea bass, dover sole and poached turbot. The team shows off their skill with an 18 hour braised short rib dish, accompanied by a punchy horseradish puree and sweet onions.
At the teppenyaki bar, you'll find small plates of gyozas and tempura prawns or vegetables. Of course the raw plates are a must - freshly cut to order; tuna, sea bass, eel, salmon and sea bream are served as nigri and sashimi. The Colony Club does not shy away from global flavours such as in plates like lamb cutlets with Korean chilli and USDA Ribeye steak accompanied by fermented chilli, pistachio and shitake.
The teppenyaki small plates are the perfect pairing to a cocktail evening and diners are definitely not short of choice. Floral, short, classic and highball cocktails are packed full of innovation and even 24K gold-leaf.
