With new owners in November 2018, the Collyweston Slater is a traditional Coaching Inn dating from the 17th Century where great food, customer service and hospitality is the focus. It is situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Collyweston and named in recognition of the slate which has been mined locally since Roman times and provided the slate tiles for its roof.
Food is served daily from the ever-popular Sunday roast to a lunchtime menu ranging from light bites and sandwiches to a wide range of mains. The evening menu offers a changing choice of dishes such as black pudding tower (hash brown, sliced black pudding and bacon topped with a green peppercorn sauce) and lamb with mash, seasonal vegetables and a redcurrant and mint jus.
