Tucked away in the quaint village of Stanford Dingley, The Bull Inn is a 15th century pub that’s been renovated to bring a modern aesthetic whilst still keeping plenty of the original features. The interior is traditional, charming and has wooden accents throughout - expect large lounge areas full of chesterfield armchairs and wood burning fires.
Beyond the bricks and mortar is an acre of stunning gardens, including a paddock, sofa area, horse box bar and even a large covered terrace for when the weather requires a little shelter.
The menu describes itself as ‘proper food’, and there’s no denying that this truly is a place to indulge. Bringing a collection of dishes from across the globe, it lends itself as both a spot for snacking on small plates with friends over a glass of wine, or tucking into a leisurely three course meal. Think grazing plates such as focaccia, scampi or halloumi bites, as well as mains like Bull’s Burger, chicken katsu curry and pork schnitzel. Desserts are equally as decadent, with options like Biscoff cheesecake and chocolate fondant, as well as British favourites like sticky toffee pudding and rice pudding. There are separate menus for vegetarians and children, as well as a special Sunday menu that combines some favourites from the main menu, and an addition of some much loved roasts. You’re spoilt for choice with beef, chicken and pork, as well as an option for a roast platter to combine all three, plus a veggie and vegan alternative - ticking off all the boxes.
