Recently given the new-generation gastropub treatment, this diminutive venue is filled with 1940s' & 1950s' pastiche, alongside classic gastropubbery. It’s cute in a retro-chic way. The food is
definitely worth a try: all freshly cooked, on a daily changing menu. Find a table at the back for full-blown meals of top charcuterie platters, good roasts & lemon pies. For something more
casual, the old-fashioned wood-lined bar is where to head; there are classy bar snacks to soak up the real ale. Including the wine list, it’s all ‘remarkably good value’ – & ‘rather fun’ to
boot. Local mums make use of the conservatory & garden during the day, allowing their tots to roam while they catch up with friends. At night, Bobbin becomes a much more romantic spot.
