About

This German-themed showbar in Maidstone encapsulates the essence of Munich. Offering traditional wooden bench seating, hearty steins of beer, a delectable array of sausages, and the classic currywurst, it's a true taste of Germany. And don't miss the lively Oompah shows every Friday and Saturday for an authentic experience.

Satisfy your thirst with an extensive selection of draught beer, cocktails, and bottled world beers. When hunger strikes, indulge in hearty options like bratwurst or pizza. The German hotdogs are all served in a brioche roll with fries, sauerkraut and German mustard. Choose from a white pork sausage Bratwurst seasoned with herbs and spices, a true classic, unmissable on any German celebration, or a the krakauer and cheese, the kitchen's signature Krakauer, but better: stuffed with Emmental cheese to make every bite a delicious experience. Haus' favourite and major cause of “shrinking uniforms.”

For pizza lovers, the currywurst pizza is the closest thing you’ll find to a German pizza, with The Bierkeller’s curry ketchup topped with mozzarella and Cheddar cheese, finished with slices of bockwurst and German mustard. For those who prefer a classic, enjoy the lightly spiced Pepperoni scattered across a bed of tomato purée with both Cheddar and mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce. Also on the menu is the currywurst, Germany’s favourite street food. Sliced bockwurst smothered in curry ketchup, served with fries, a portion of sausage mustard and sauerkraut, along with a giant pretzel served warm with a sprinkle of sea salt and German mustard on the side.

For something to drink, order the ‘almost famous’ haus beer. A pale blonde bier with a light, grainy, slightly sweet tone. A smooth character matched to a soft, lingering dry finish. Great session or summer garden beer. Brewed to the Reinheitsgebot standard.

Poor handling of a booking and lack of duty of care

Disappointing Experience - Lack of Care and Pre-Booked Food Unavailable

I recently visited Bierkeller Maidstone with my group, and the experience was far from what we expected. Despite pre-booking our food options, none of them were available when we arrived. This was incredibly frustrating, especially since Bierkeller had assured in review replies that pre-booked food would be provided. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

To make matters worse, one of our party was unwell and threw up. Rather than offering help or checking on their wellbeing, the staff decided to remove us from the venue. It was alarming to see such a lack of care and concern for a patron who clearly needed assistance.

Given these issues — both the poor handling of our booking and the lack of duty of care — our experience was far below expectations. I hope they seriously consider improving their service and care for future guests.
