Nice old pub in small village. Arrived with great expectations for Sunday evening meal. Limited menu - went for roast ham & Chicken which unusally was an "order for 2 to be shared" for around £24-28. Food eventually arrived on wooden platter with 2 small tea plates - don't go in hungry for this meal! Half of small chicken & 2 small slices of over-cooked ham with range of veggies but roast potatoes were dry & over-cooked, almost as if left over from lunch & re-heated. 2 large yorks puds were dry & oily. Gravy had a very strong taste, something between burnt meat & extreme marmite which didn't help either
Gave feedback to waitress who was polite, pleasant and apologised
Wifi only works at one end of pub & near bar (not where we sat) but we didn't go out to use phones
It is a village pub with locals who were excitedly playing dominoes in next section. Noisey but good to see the pub has local involvement.
