The Allotment Vegan Eatery creates vegan food like you've never tried before. You'll be excited by the restaurant's fresh and locally sourced flavours, which use the best of each season's harvest, making sure that there is always something interesting on the menu.
Small plates can be ordered as starters, enjoyed as sides or sharing plates amongst the table. Try the plant balls made from soy and pea protein marinated in a white wine and cream sauce, the spiralized raw courgette served with cherry tomatoes, pecan rocket pesto and pine nuts, and tofu skewers in an almond spicy satay sauce with mango and coriander. During lunchtime hours, you can enjoy two small plates and a drink with a great saving.
For bigger plates, choose the fried aubergine burger with pickled cucumbers and served in a brioche bun with rhubarb ketchup, vegan halloumi and polenta fries, or the traditional laksa curry with tofu, pak choi, beansprouts, tenderstem and courgette spirals. Other options include the buddha bowl made with quinoa, cherry tomatoes, red cabbage, tahini, tenderstem broccoli, pickled onion, mixed leaf, sunflower and pumpkin seeds. There's also the option to enjoy an afternoon tea experience which offers a vegan twist on the traditional afternoon tea, including a selection of chilled sandwiches, cauliflower wings, cakes, freshly baked scones and a soft drink each. On Sundays, there are delicious vegan roasts, whether you want the stuffed butternut squash or celeriac steak, each served with roast potatoes, stuffing, roasted carrots, parsnips, broccoli and gravy.
Bottomless brunch is available all day every day, and includes two small plates or one large, along with unlimited drinks for 90 minutes. We'd order the jackfruit tacos with sriracha mayo and fresh pineapple salsa, or braised carrots with dukkah and emerald tahini with roasted butternut squash served with miso garlic sauce and pomegranate.
