Pop by the Westfield Shopping Centre in Shepherd’s Bush and pay this colourful and family-friendly restaurant a visit. Tapas Revolution, founded by Spanish chef Omar Allibhoy, delivers authentic cuisine inspired by family recipes straight from Spain. You won’t miss the bright and bold Tapas branding in the upper balcony area, giving off a mezzanine feel. Sit around the marble-topped bar counter and watch drinks come to life before you.
Open every day from 11am, guests are not required to book and can just walk in. Start the fiesta feeling with a few drinks, sip on Spanish gin and tonics such as one made with Gin Mare from Barcelona, black pepper and mango, and mixed with a Mediterranean tonic, or try gin from Seville made with Puerto de Indías Strawberry, served with elderflower tonic, strawberries and mint.
Tapas Revolution Westfield is dedicated to serving up dishes that can be shared by the whole family, with a variety of tapas options for the table that are meat, fish or vegetable-based. Share a small plate of huevos rotos, a baked chorizo dish that is served with egg and potatoes. Another option is the Galician octopus which is sliced and layered on a bed of baby new potatoes and finished with sweet smoked paprika and olive oil. Lastly, round things off with a Spanish dessert of cremoso de chocolate: a baked chocolate fondant served with raspberries.
The restaurant’s menus cater for kids, vegetarians, vegans and those who are gluten intolerant. On the kiddies menu, children can tuck into a choice of two tapas including beef and pork meatballs in a tomato sauce, patatas con alioli – a dish of fried potatoes and garlic mayonnaise – or a classic Spanish omelette. Tapas Revolution also runs specials during the week with a 50% discount on meals for students on Mondays and Tuesdays and a ‘Happy Hora’ special from 4-7pm on Sundays to Fridays where diners can enjoy 2-4-1 cocktails and Larios G&Ts, as well as half-price Sangria jugs.
