Is there anything better than a local's favourite? With a cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and a focus on delicious, fresh food, Table13 is a neighbourhood cafe, bakery and wine bar all in one, nestled in Tottenham Hale's Hale village.
It all started in lockdown when Federico Viciani, born and raised in Florence but now a Tottenham local, began dreaming of opening his own place while furloughed from his usual restaurant job. As his time at home went on, his vision developed until eventually he brought the idea to life in a pop-up. After winning the hearts of the locals, Sofia De Angelis (previously of Sketch in Mayfair) came on board and together they made Table13 permanent.
In the daylight hours, the team serve up coffee and all manner of pastries from apricot croissants and loaf of the week, to chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon buns. Breakfast classics come in the form of boiled eggs on toasted, chopped up with mustard mayo and decked out with smoked salmon, Italian tuna or bacon. Then, using their freshly-baked bread, the team also whip up a selection of mouthwatering sandwiches decked out with beetroot, hummus, feta and hazelnuts, alongside parma ham, lemon ricotta, olive tapenade and marinated courgettes, as well as many more.
For something a little heartier still, tuck into the pizzas trays with toppings like Italian sausage, mushrooms and mozzarella, or perhaps mushrooms, peppers, black olives and mozzarella for a vegetarian twist. Come evening and Table13 transforms into a wine bar, serving glasses of 13 different wines hand-curated by the team. It's no surprise that the list pays special attention to Italian wine makers, but there are bottles from all over the world, too. And, as for beer, there's a great selection of both local to London beers and more unusual brands that you might not find everywhere.
