Sushi Hand Friends is an authentic, little sushi spot in Greenwich with a playful shop facade, off the beaten track location and a choice few tables inside, with an 'undiscovered local gem' feel. The team behind the restaurant have over 20 years of combined experience in the Japanese food industry and chefs hail from the likes of Sticks'n'Sushi.
While sushi is their passion, you'll find a lot more than that on the menu which spans poke bowls, street foods and hot and cold dishes. If you're unsure of what to go for, why not try a set menu and make the decision easier for yourself? The 'Salmon Delight' offering, for example, includes eight salmon avocado rolls, eight salmon hosomaki, four salmon nigiri and four salmon sashimi.
If you'd rather go freestyle, check out the hot and cold starters which include dishes such as fried chicken bites marinated in ginger and garlic, seared tuna with kizami wasabi, daikon and crest ponzu sauce, as well as chicken dumplings with soy vinegar sauce.
Moving onto the sushi selection you'll find a range of hosomaki, sashimi, nigiri, yaki and sushi rolls, with fillings including crispy soft-shell crab, hiramasa and prawn tempura. Or, if you're more in the mood for a main, choose from hot dishes like yakisoba, teriyaki and curry, with options to choose toppings like chicken, prawn, beef and vegetables.
Sushi Hand Friends is also known for its poke bowl (which, by the way, have some great reviews on Google!). We think the salmon teriyaki bowl sounds great and comes with sushi rice, cucumber, red onion, edamame beans, crispy onion, avocado and mango, or we'd give the tofu version a spin.
Finally, top off your meal with a soft drink, or opt for take out if you'd rather enjoy at home.
