About

Found between Green Park and Regent Street, Stork Mayfair is a sophisticated pan-African restaurant, which serves a seasonally changing menu that is inspired by the culinary richness of the continent of Africa.

The restaurant takes inspiration from its close proximity to some of the capital’s most famous art galleries, with the dining room featuring revolving art exhibitions which are curated by BetterShared, a company specialising in contemporary African art. Otherwise, the dining room has a luxe, moody feel, complete with attractive light fixtures, greenery suspended from the ceiling and cosy banquette seating.

Stork Mayfair’s menu is a riot of colours and flavours, with each dish presented so stylishly that you might think they are (almost) too pretty to eat. It is worth noting that the menu here changes periodically, making use of the best in-season produce, but starters you might find on your visit include king prawns paired with avocado, chow chow, scotch bonnet and date jam or yam with sweet potato ketchup, coconut and cassava dust.

Main courses meanwhile might include dishes such as poached cod with okro soup and crayfish and rainbow chard, or a signature Ghanian stew with a peanut paste base. There is also the option to choose a dish from the in-house grill, which cooks up the likes of spatchcock poussin with grilled sweetcorn and jerk sauce or ribeye steak marinated in suya spice and served alongside palm wine shallots.

To finish up, take your pick of Stork Mayfair’s dessert options - rum soaked pudding with vanilla ice cream perhaps, or maybe grilled pineapple spiced sponge with coconut sorbet. If you prefer liquid afters, instead explore Stork’s tempting list of house cocktails, where you will find fun sips such as a Watermelon Margarita and the Bubble Gum, made with gin, lychee juice, bubblegum syrup and lemonade.

BEAUTIFUL AMBIENCE AND DELICIOUS FOOD

A beautiful innovative African restaurant based in the heart of Mayfair.

The ambience as soon as you step in warm and inviting, the art work was amazing and the hosts were exceptional especially Thomas.

The food was delicious I had the prawn and avocado starter and for my main I had the miso  cod with the okra soup and fufu, may I just say my mouth danced the entire evening the spices the seasoning was just how I like my food to taste. *chef kisses*

If you're looking for declious food, pictures for social media, date night or out with the ladies and gents this is the go to spot.
