Nestled away under Covent Garden Market you’ll find the dark and moody Stereo, that’s managed to find the perfect balance of cocktails, food and music. It will see you turning up for your mid-afternoon aperitif, sampling some of the American classic dishes and seeing out the rest of the night on the dance floor. There's even an option to hire out the entire venue for up to 400 people if you’re looking to host that big birthday party, with the team on hand to help with the finer details of your planning and relieve some stress.
Cocktails are the star of the show when it comes to the drinks menu. No matter what mood you’re in, you're covered with concoctions like a muddle of vodka, cumin and dill, through to old favourites like an espresso martini. For those less adventurous, there’s a modest selection of wine and beer to see you through the night. Sourcing in local where possible, Stereo has had its own house gin and vodka created by Thames Distillers, as well as a Saison from South Bermondsey's very own microbrewery.
Andrew Clarke, formerly of Brunswick House and St Leonards, has taken the reigns at the American inspired restaurant which serves up both bar snacks and dishes of a healthier portion size. Think warm popcorn and deep-fried mozzarella balls to fried chicken sandwiches. Whilst you’ll find the odd salad on the menu, the main focus is comfort food and soaking up all of those cocktails. No judgement for doubling up your burgers here.
Finally, Stereo brings an extensive range of musical performances throughout the day. A house band will welcome you with relaxed vibes before the stage is taken over by resident DJs and one-off artists. There’s a set for each mood, ready to be enjoyed in the intimate stage set up.
