January marks the final month of Harrods' multi-Michelin-starred Italian pop-up Stelle di Stelle. A host of super-chefs have been bringing a slice of la dolce vita to Knightsbridge since September and this month, Enrico Crippa is in the driving seat. Crippa is head chef at Piazza Duomo in Alba, northwest Italy, a restaurant in possession of two Michelin stars, and a vegetable garden situated within the nearby Barolo wine region. Stelle di Stelle diners should expect dishes with an emphasis on impeccable sourcing, such as cream of potatoes from the Alta Langa region with quail’s egg and lapsang souchong tea. Agnolotti del Plin pasta stuffed with roasted meat is followed by Piedmontese Fassone beef braised in Barolo wine, before a dessert of Relanghe nougat (from Alba) and hazelnut cake with zabaglione. The set lunch and dinner menus are £65 and £115 respectively, or £85 and £140 with wine matches.
