La Maison Ani is a new opening for summer 2024 from foodie duo Evgeny Kuzin and chef Izu Ani, as part of the Fundamental Hospitality Group, which showcases chef Izu's experience working across French, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavours.
Situated in the The Carlton Tower Jumeirah, the restaurant has 168 covers inside, as well as capacity for 14 people on the al fresco terrace, which overlooks the iconic Cadogan Gardens. Its a glamorous first glimpse for customers, with a facade decorated in a bespoke, coral-pink palm pattern, designed to evoke the romance of Paris, inspired by the Jardin Du Palais.
And, if this is just the awning, you can imagine how beautiful the interiors are. Step inside, and diners are greeted by a statement bar in the signature blushed hue, smart white tablecloth-covered tables and atmospheric lighting, with glowing wall lights all around the space. There's also a 14-cover private dining space, perfect for important client meetings or special occasions.
As for the menu, early birds can enjoy the breakfast menu which has a focus on 'oeufs' with 12 egg-based dishes. This includes the Oeufs Neptune with an English breakfast muffin, lobster, poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce for a decadent start to the day. Other options include specials like the signature breakfast plate with avocado, asparagus, sausage, halloumi, tomatoes and more.
Moving into the a la carte and you can expect a pleasing selection of dishes to choose from, starting with salads and starters like blueberry and feta salad with fresh mint, French onion soup and truffle tart. If you're in the mood for something casual, the sandwich selection should suffice, with a list of pizzas to choose from, too. While main plates look like homemade tagliatelle pasta with king crab and fresh cherry tomatoes, grilled rib eye with Padrón peppers or perhaps whole baby chicken in Perigueux sauce with seasonal truffle.
