Soul is a cafe and brunch spot in Twickenham, South West London. It’s a short walk from both Strawberry Hill and Twickenham train stations and is close to the Thames and Ham Lands park.
The menu covers a lot of ground, catering for most times of the day and levels of hunger. Traditional breakfast dishes are represented by the likes of a full English, avocado eggs royale and Florentine and Mexican open toast Benedict. There’s also a petit breakfast range. This includes a range of omelette, porridge and avocado on toast.
Lunch dishes are headlined by a range of sandwiches. Vegan and vegetarian options are numerous, such as a dairy and meat free croque monsieur, rainbow sandwich (spinach, bell pepper, avocado, carrot and hummus) and pulled jackfruit. Two wraps are also on the menu: avo-salsa or tuna mayo.
The set menu is a great way to sample a good selection of dishes for a good value price (£18.50 for three courses). You can choose from dishes such as a rice noodle roll to start, Mexican-inspired mashed potato with chicken breast for mains and brownie with ice cream for dessert. Rounding out the hot food is a choice of two burgers, beef or vegan.
Soul also serves a large selection of drinks. As well as the usual tea and coffee, there’s natural juices and milkshakes. Flavours for the former include pineapple, mango and passionfruit; chocolate, raspberry and strawberry feature for the latter.
