Shish Edinburgh, is located just off Potterrow, a short distance from the Festival Theatre and the university.
Open Monday to Sunday from 12 noon until 11pm, Shish serves a traditional Turkish style lunch and dinner menu, including hot and cold meze, traditional Turkish mains, and a charcoal grill.

Shish Edinburgh has been decorated in a traditional, luxurious style. The restaurant appears spacious and inviting, with plenty of soft lighting, comfy velvet seating and cosy booth-style corners to enjoy an intimate meal or a family gathering.
The main menu is large and indulgent, with plenty of dishes designed for individual dining, or for sharing. There is also a lunch menu which includes a tapas-style selection of small plates, along with salads, rice and wraps, served at a fixed price.
Main menu dishes include a selection of hot and cold meze favourites, such as hummus, cheese filled pastry rolls and traditional fried eggplant to start. Main courses include dishes such as Tavuk Sis, grilled chicken breast infused with peppery yoghurt, and Kasap Kofte, chargrilled meat balls served with rice and salad.
There are also plenty of dishes for younger diners and those who prefer simpler tastes, such as chargrilled chicken wings, lamb chops, mashed potato, chips and flatbreads. Most dishes are also served with both salad, vegetables and rice.
You will also find a selection of chargrilled steaks on the menu which are ideal ordered to share, amongst a selection of Turkish sides such as creamy mushrooms, mixed veg, Turkish salads and rice.
Desserts also sound good with dishes such as traditional Baklava, baked Turkish rice pudding topped with walnuts, and a selection of gelato.
