Scorrybreac is a beautifully positioned restaurant located above the Portree harbour in the Isle of Skye. The Scorrybreac resident chef Calum Munro has designed a seasonal menu using many locally sourced ingredients, suppliers and local wines. You will find a simple, elegant menu serving a selection of quality Scottish dishes, designed with a French influence.
The name Scorrybrec means speckled rock, which represents the stony cliffs just along the bay from the restaurant itself.
The restaurant is warm and welcoming enjoying traditional décor and stunning views. Many of the ingredients are foraged in the surrounding land, the venison is local and wild, plus the seafood is freshly caught from the local fishermen. There is a lunch menu, and a tasting menu available, which changes regularly depending on local sources and supplies.
An example of the lunch dishes you will find include a staffin lamb rump served with carrot and cardamon, and a hake dish served with a chicken beurre blanc served with collective shoots. The evening menu features a Dunvegan roe deer served with smoked cauliflower and blackberries, and a cod dish served with lemon and thyme.
Scorrybreac has a good selection of fine wines supplied by locally based La’art du vin, as well as a growing selection of single malt whiskies and gin.
Dishes are fresh and contemporary looking served in the beautifully positioned restaurant enjoying lovely rural views of the Isle of Skye. A special place to meet for lunch or dinner with friends and family.
