Salvi’s Mozzarella Bar and Restaurant is a traditional Italian deli and eatery located in Manchester’s historic and striking Corn Exchange building. It is open Sunday and Monday from 10am to 11pm. In the deli you will find a selection of meats, cheeses and pastries, plus pasta, sauces and Italian desserts. There is also a selection of fruit and veg.
The decor is simple and inviting, with pretty wooden chairs and tables dotted around the main serving area. Dishes have a generous and authentic appeal, they are bright, vibrant and freshly made.
You will find plenty of pasta dishes on the menu at Salvi’s, such as their beloved Pasta Nonna Teresa, a dish served with pistachio pesto and pancetta, plus plenty of classic favourites such as spaghetti carbonara, seafood risotto and pasta primavera.
There is a good selection of pizza available which can be served to share, plus a selection of delicious sounding topped breads, ciabatta and focaccia which make great sharing starters. You will also find other tempting starters such as fresh figs and parma ham, and juicy tomatoes simply served with olives and Italian mozzarella.
Desserts vary depending on fresh ingredients and produce, look out for the pistachio tiramisu or the torta al limone served with fresh cream.
All produce and ingredients at Salvi’s Mozzarella Bar are imported from Italy, each dish has been thoughtfully made and sourced to ensure the best flavour and quality.
If you’re looking for drinks and light bites you will find a good selection of small plates, wines and cocktails. Look out for their seasonal dishes and special recipes, such as their mint chocolate Aero cocktail made with vodka and Malibu, or their fresh summer Granitas.
The restaurant also has its very own beer – Birra Salvi’s, which is available at their Mozzarella bar and their Northern Quarter restaurant.
