At Sakura, the team’s mission is to bring the authentic flavours of Japan to your table. Whilst the restaurant specialises in exquisite sashimi and sushi, the selections include more than that, reflecting the diverse and rich tapestry of Japanese cuisine. Beyond sushi, Sakura introduces you to the world of hot and cold tapas style portions, showcasing the vast selection of tastes that Japan has to offer. Sakura is a haven for those who appreciate sharing fantastic food and drinks with friends and family. Embrace the essence of Japanese culinary delights in a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
When it comes to sashimi, you can rest easy knowing that all of the raw fish that is used has been frozen professionally before selling, making it safe to eat as cooked food. The food has been served to all customers since the opening of Sakura.
Sushi begins with maki mono, maki is a sushi that is cylindrical in shape and includes grilled seaweed nori, that is rolled around vinegared rice and various other fillings. Choose from sushi rolled with caviar, avocado cucumber, crab stick and mayonnaise, to rainbow maki with salmon, tuna, squid, caviar, avocado, sesame and prawn slices on top of a cucumber crab stick and mayonnaise roll. There are dozens of sushi options, before the menu ventures to the sashimi - the most succulent fish, slices of the freshest raw fish or seafood, served with grated white radish, shredded carrot and fiery wasabi. Temaki is hand rolled, and so the flavours taste different in each of their forms. Be sure to try the ramen with a miso soup base, topped with chicken spinach, seaweed and pickles, bamboo shoots in a meat and vegetable stock.
