Rooted in the heart of Mayfair since 1929, Quaglino’s is the place to go for a healthy dose of glamour and sophistication. Aside from the restaurant, Quaglino’s offers a luxurious bar which is a drinking and dining destination in its own right. Everything here is a little bit retro, from the old-school decor to the classic drinks themselves. Overlooking the grand restaurant floor and offering balcony views of the live entertainment that takes place below, it’s a fabulous place to while away an evening with a few of its bespoke cocktails.
On that note, the cocktail list features plenty of classics that have been reinterpreted to reflect the style and elegance of the rest of the venue. Led by a talented bar team, each creation has been made using the finest spirits and homemade ingredients. Examples include a White Truffle Negroni made with truffle oil, the Catwalk made with Tanqueray-infused rosebuds, citrus, Belzazar rose Aperol, strawberry syrups and egg white, and the Quaglino’s Express which is laced with Havana 7, Tia Maria, espresso, vanilla syrup and chocolate bitters. There’s also a separate art-deco cocktail list, where each drink has been inspired by the art-nouveau, cubism and futurism movements.
If wine is more your thing, then the comprehensive yet carefully-selected list at Quaglino’s features a 300-bin wine list focusing on renowned European regions and balanced by carefully-chosen additions from the New World, including California, Chile and New Zealand. Choose from a curated selection of spirits or, if you’re feeling lavish, there’s a Tattinger menu where Champagne is the only order of the day.
To experience the excellent food, however, you'll need to venture into the restaurant. We sincerely recommend you do so, as only there will you be able to enjoy the likes of oysters, giant steaks, caviar and more.
