Based in the new Elephant Park development, Pot and Rice is a pan-Asian restaurant which serves dishes that combine flavours and ingredients from countries all over Asia. The red brick facade of the restaurant gives the restaurant the immediate impression of being rather modern. This is carried through to into the interior of the restaurant which features very minimalistic decor with pendant light bulbs hanging from above and a counter on one side which you order from.
When it comes to food, the menu covers a number of different bases. Small nibbles range from kimchee and edamame, to steamed pork dumplings and miso soup; while larger sides to share include Taiwanese fried chicken, smoked salmon pizza served with truffle mayo and black tobiko, and crispy chicken sliders with lotus root crisps and Asian-style slaw. Rice pots vary from Kurobuta pork neck with tangy plum sauce, to a mixed seafood tomyum which features scallops, prawns and mussels. If you’re feeling like noodles, dishes include enoki mushroom and fat beef noodles, or Taiwanese tomato and egg noodles. For pudding, expect fun dishes such as yuzu cheesecake, bubble tea panda cotta, and an indulgent green tea chocolate fondue for two.
On top of the main menu, there is also a well priced set lunch menu. The food offering is accompanied by a selection of drinks including green tea, jasmine pearl milk tea, and plenty of other refreshing options to go alongside the flavoursome food.
