Plates by Purnell's

Plate's by Purnell's is a Birmingham venture created by Glynn Purnell and his team, and is a small and cosy restaurant with sharing plates that are inspired by classic Spanish tapas.

On the menu, you can expect to find pinxtos dishes, which translates to finger foods, including bread with olive oil and tomato, piquillo and padron peppers, and cheese croquettes. The meat selection includes a platter of cured meats, chorizo with cider and honey, chicken thighs and marinated pork fillets. There's also vegetable dishes of aubergine chips with honey and truffle, spicy potatoes, cassoulet of chickpeas and grilled baby gem salad.

If you like fish and seafood, try the prawns with garlic, the crispy squid, cod or grilled octopus. And, be sure to finish your meal off with the orange and pistachio sponge cake or Spanish cheese selection.
