This lovingly restored barge on the River Thames is part of the Daisy Green collective, which continues to spread Aussie brunch vibes across London. This barge once belonged to Jesus College Oxford - presumably with boat-race weekends in mind - but now it makes for the perfect summer sun trap, with al fresco brunching on the weekends as well as lunch and dinner. It even becomes an Aussie beach club-inspired party destination in the late evenings!
The intimate bar and dining spaces comprises two floors of the barge, with over 120 covers spread across indoor and outdoor dining. Peggy Jean is also home to twin Gozney clay ovens (named Peggy and Jean), which means freshly-baked pizzas can be slung out at a rapid pace throughout the day. Expect classics such as the Margherita and Hot Sausage with cold fermented jalapeno hot sauce, alongside creative Aus-inspired additions like Vegemite and Cheese, and The Aussie - a delicious combo of cured ham, tomato, barbecue pineapple, mozzarella, Clarence Court egg and pink pickled onions.
That's not all - the day menu also includes the likes of fresh calamari, day boat fish and Tomahawk steaks to share - all cooked over coals. Meanwhile, Daisy Green Collective specialises in long and lazy bottomless brunching, and Peggy Jean does brunch in style too. Catch up over signature favourites like Daisy's beloved bacon rolls (with hollandaise, back bacon, poached egg, crispy onions and chilli), the award-winning banana bread sandwich and comforting buttermilk blueberry pancakes with whipped mascarpone. All that with one of London's best brunch views, across the Thames and beyond to Richmond Bridge and Richmond riverside.
Peggy Jean is also dog friendly throughout the day, with comfy cog beds, plenty of water and special dog biscuits provided for your pal.
