Centrally located on Lee High Road, Panas Gurkha Restaurant is a welcome change from your everyday Indian restaurant. With a cuisine based around the idea of healthy eating Panas takes traditional recipes from not only India but Nepal too and recreates them here in South East London, taking locals on a delicious whistlestop tour through the Subcontinent all the way to the Himalayas. Head Chef Sujan trained under the likes of Michelin starred Atul Kochhar and TV chef Das Sreedharan before opening this superb restaurant where he uses freshly prepared, hand picked ingredients in dishes made to absolutely authentic recipes straight from Asia. Inspired by Sujan’s native Nepal Panas’, dining room is decorated in traditional style but with a fresh, clean backdrop behind the rather regal and very intriguing artefacts and art works which will capture the attention as you enjoy a complimentary papri chaat before your meal.
