Steaks are order of the day at this Fulham offering which gets its name from the breed of south Devonshire cow where the restaurant sources its beef – the animal in question is the largest breed native to Britain and, after these guys have hung it for a minimum of 32 days, it’s pretty bleedin’ tasty. Cooked on the bars of a Big Green Egg charcoal barbecue, a sirloin (or a tomahawk for those who are really hungry) comes with a perfect blackened criss-cross marking from the grill, simply accompanied by salad, hand-cut chips and lashings of house sauce. Vegetarians are hardly the main focus, but they're not overlooked – truffle mac ‘n’ cheese provides ideal comfort food, while friendly front of house staff and a well-chosen drinks list cocktail list create a casual atmosphere which is a welcome addition to the Fulham dining scene.
