A bite-sized eatery right opposite Liverpool Street station, Now plies its trade as a dim-sum refuelling stop for peckish commuters. Seating is at a premium amid the bright, funky decor – there are
only 10 wooden stools and a small counter – but this is an express drop-in, not a venue for languorous lunches. Sweet and savoury buns do duty for breakfast, ahead of four types of “perfectly
steamed” dim-sum baskets, plus crispy spring rolls, prawn wontons and the like. Alternatively, if something more sustaining is required, a plate of seafood sticky rice, honey-glazed chicken or
satay squid on noodles is the way to go, followed by a Chinese egg-custard tart or mango pudding. Also look out for the good-value set deals based around dumplings, buns and burgers. Drink green
tea or chai latte.
