North Light is the place to be if you're looking to enjoy great food, delicious drinks, and lots of laughs in beautiful surroundings. Doors are open from 10am every day of the week, staying open a little later on the weekends. From Thursday through to Sunday, you can enjoy the buzz from live DJs.
To begin, try one of the sharers with your table, such as the baked camembert in a sourdough loaf with sweet onion marmalade and honey, served with crispy garlic croutons and black grapes, or the half a crispy duck served with pancakes, cucumber, spring onion and hoisin sauce. Small plates at North Light are a great choice to start with, too, or to share with friends. You have choices of Korean fried chicken in a BBQ sauce with sriracha mayo and red chilli, halloumi fries with sweet chilli, and tomato and mozzarella arancini with marinara and basil sauce.
From the grill, try the piri chicken kebab tray, harissa lamb koftas or lemongrass beef with a sweet chilli dip. Classics on the menu include a bavette steak served with rocket, cherry tomatoes and parmesan in a balsamic dressing with seasoned fries, and beef patty with burger sauce, baby gem, tomato, red onion and pickle.
Lighter dishes and salads at North Light include a buddha bowl made with green chickpea falafel, harissa cauliflower, coconut rice, roasted red and yellow peppers, hummus with crispy chickpeas and a rocket and chicory salad. How refreshing does that sound! The Asian chicken noodle salad is always a big hit, with yaki soba noodles in a sweet chilli and sesame oil dressing with mangetout, coriander, mint and kimchi slaw with Korean fried chicken. If you've got room for something sweet, try the chocolate butterscotch brownie with vanilla ice cream and crushed honeycomb, or vanilla and raspberry cheesecake.
