Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Tilly is the latest star to be announced for the Strictly Come Dancing 2021 line-up.
This 19 year old will join a roster of celebrities when the popular dancing competition returns to screens this September, including TV presenter AJ Odudu, Peep Show’s Robert Webb and BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker. This series will also feature the first ever all-male pairing, with former Great British Bake Off winner John Whaite.
Ramsay has followed in her famous father’s footsteps by beginning her own television career. She already hosts children’s cookery show Matilda and The Ramsay Bunch on CBBC and has amassed a following of 9.4 million fans on her TikTok account, where her and her famously sweary Dad have collaborated on fun videos.
Speaking about joining the series, Miss Ramsay said: ““I’m always up for fun new challenges and this will be my biggest adventure yet! I’m going to put my heart and soul into this and can’t wait to get my dancing shoes on and show my Dad how it’s really done! Bring on the glitz, glamour and sequins.”
The announcement was made in a video message on ITV’s This Morning, with Ramsay’s proud parents wishing her luck. Mum Tana said: “You’re incredibly brave. I’m terrified but so excited for you, good luck.” Dad Gordon offered a few words of warning, instead telling his daughter “Don’t date those dancers.”
Other stars that have been announced for Strictly Come Dancing 2021 include Dragons’ Den judge Sara Davies, McFly star Tom Fletcher, Coronation Street actress Katie McGlynn and star of The Crown, Greg Wise.
