Pop queen Taylor Swift might just be the most famous person in the world right now, which basically means that anything she does immediately becomes headline news. For those who have a keen interest in her dining habits, the Love Story singer was spotted leaving high-end Argentinian restaurant Casa Cruz last week in the heart of Notting Hill.
Casa Cruz has long had a reputation for hosting A-list celebrities, becoming a favourite amongst the likes of Prince Harry, Victoria Beckham and Tom Cruise.
Indeed, Taylor wasn't dining alone when she was seen leaving the restaurant on Tuesday night. She gathered a high-profile group of friends to enjoy dinner and drinks with her including Cara Delevingne, Kate Moss, Andrew Scott, Phoebe Waller Bridge, Stella McCartney and the Haim sisters. Nevertheless, details about what they ordered remain unknown.
So, what makes Casa Cruz so special? Well, this London branch is one of two global restaurants with the other based over in New York, so perhaps Taylor was searching for a small piece of home when she booked a table here.
It’s definitely got the whole ‘glitz, glam and gorgeous’ thing going on though. The two-storey site is a pantheon of burnished copper, cosy corners and sultry lighting, while the menu promises luxe, modern Argentinan plates, from tuna and sea bass crudo for £24 to a 1.2kg cote de bouef for £140 (we’re assuming that’s to share). It occupies a Victorian building on a quiet corner of Clarendon Road and describes itself as a ‘home away from home’, although if we were to read between the lines, that basically means a discrete place for the glitterati to congregate.
Taylor Swift is currently in the UK for her Eras Tour as she gets ready to perform at Wembley Stadium in London on 21, 22 and 23 June. She’ll return to London in August again for another five nights of her tour.
Didn't snag tickets to the Eras Tour? These Taylor Swift bottomless brunches in London are the next best thing. Or, if you're keen to dine like the stars and don't mind splashing the cash, you can book a table at Casa Cruz instead.
