An Indian restaurant in Kent is offering a free roll of toilet paper to customers when they order a curry to their house.
Secret Spices in Kent is offering much sought-after free loo roll to local customers who spend £25 or more when ordering an Indian takeaway to their home. The restaurant’s owner Raj Ali came up with the novel idea after seeing that the shelves of his local supermarkets were completely emptied out of loo roll.
In order to combat a lack of visitors to his restaurant following the Coronavirus outbreak and to provide a bit of comic relief to his local community, Ali decided to post about the loo roll offer on his restaurant’s social media pages.
To redeem the offer, you just need to order an Indian feast worth £25 or more via Secret Spices direct line (rather than a third-party service) and quote the offer while you’re on the phone. The offer is only available while stocks last, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see the restaurant running out of loo roll pretty quickly.

Speaking about why they decided to offer free toilet paper to customers, Ali’s sister and social media manager Rukshana Begum said: “Everyone needs a laugh right now, and we thought this would be a great way to bring that about.”
She continued: “One thing that I think is that some people could take this the wrong way – that’s the last thing we want. We’re not trying to offend anyone or start any kind of debate, we are trying to lighten ourselves up at this very difficult time.”
Ever since the government released a statement advising the public to avoid ‘social venues’ such as pubs, clubs, restaurants and theatres, the hospitality industry has taken a major hit. It is estimated that up to one million jobs in the sector could be lost if a rescue plan of some sort is not provided by the UK government.
