Salt Bae drastically reduces prices at famous Nusr-Et Steakhouse in major U-turn

Salt Bae has slashed the prices at his steakhouse in Knightsbridge in what appears to be a desperate bid to entice customers back through its doors.

Nusr-Et Steakhouse, which was previously ranked amongst the worst restaurants in London and slated for its overpriced steaks, has made a huge U-turn as it attempts to make dining there more affordable.

The changes include a special set lunch menu for just £39 per person, available on weekdays from 12-5pm, which sees guests able to indulge in a starter, main and dessert for less than forty quid a head.

Customers can also order a burger and fries for £45, while certain starters, such as tacos and steak tartare, are on offer for around £35 a dish. The restaurant is also offering a new range of sushi for between £23-28 for four pieces.

While the cost of eating at Nusr-Et Steakhouse is still at the top-end of luxury dining, to put the cuts into perspective, the restaurant has made headlines in the past for its astronomical prices, with just one of its steaks costing a humungous £630. While a customer’s receipt totaling £1,812 went viral on social media back in 2021, which included a service charge of more than £200 added on, and a glass of Coke costing £9.

Gokce, aka Salt Bae, rocketed to fame in 2017 when he went viral on social media for his signature salt-sprinkling videos. He now has over 20 restaurants in the Nusr-Et chain across the globe, which is famed for its ultra luxury dining and Giant Tomahawk steaks sprinkled with gold leaf.

The London branch made £7 million in its first year of trading. However, it has since received a trail of negative reviews, with one TripAdvisor user hailing it 'the worst high cost steak house in London'.
