Pret has launched a secret iced drinks menu

To help you out with the UK heatwave, Pret has launched a secret iced drinks menu.

The timely launch coincides with soaring temperatures across the nation and will be available at selected Pret stores throughout the UK. The only catch is that the iced drinks menu won’t appear in stores, so it’s only available to those in the know.

All you have to do to grab a refreshing drink is ask your Barista, who you’d usually get an ice coffee from, to whip you up one of five iced drinks from the secret menu. The featured over-ice drinks that are up for grabs are an Iced Turmeric Latte, an Iced Matcha Latte, an Ice Mocha, an Iced Chai and an Iced Chocolate.

Each drink costs £2.55, but customers can get a 50p discount if they bring in their own cup. As standard, both the matcha and turmeric iced lattes are made with rice coconut milk, but if you like, you can request for them to be made using soy milk or organic dairy milk.

Remember that you won’t be able to find the top-secret drinks on any in-store Pret menus, so you will need to have your wits about you. As a special ice machine is required to make the drinks, only Pret stores that usually serve iced coffee will be able to serve the iced drinks menu, and not all of the brand’s express stores have ice machines.

The refreshing drinks sound like a pretty good way of dealing with the hot weather to us, and if you’re feeling peckish, you can pair your iced drinks with a brand new addition to Pret’s food menu – the coffee shop chain now sells a smoked salmon and soft cheese open sandwich which is presented on gluten-free bread and priced at £3.95 as well as a limited edition lobster roll.

The secret Pret iced drinks menu will be available throughout the summer, with all of the drinks priced at £2.55
