Jamie Oliver Keep Cooking at Christmas: Everything you need to know about the new show

Jamie Oliver has announced two new festive special TV programmes to celebrate Christmas this year.

The much-loved celebrity chef revealed the news to his 8.4 million Instagram fans, posting a snap of himself alongside two of his children – Petal and Buddy – where the father of five is seen to be sporting a slogan ‘ho ho ho’ jumper in honour of the upcoming big day.

Very few details have been revealed, but we do know that as usual Jamie will be sharing some exciting new recipes with viewers who are keen to try a twist on the classics this coming Christmas. The chef’s post read:

“Two Christmas specials this year! Packed with helpful, practical and flexible recipes for whatever your cooking ability, to help make Christmas stress-free but utterly delicious. Sneak-peek at some of the recipes coming soon – hope you love it.”

The cosy snap of Jamie and his kids seems to showcase a classic turkey, with Petal and Buddy appearing to be tasting a gravy, but we’ll have to wait for the big reveal to know the exact tweaks the recipes have been given.

This latest TV programme from Jamie and his gang looks to follow a similar format to his successful show which the chef and his team filmed at home over the summer in direct response to Coronavirus. Keep Cooking and Carry On was originally only meant to be a five-episode long show, but the programme was so popular that it ended up being extended to 20 episodes. Making use of tinned goods and freezer foods, Jamie and his family presented recipes that would inspire us all to use everyday ingredients in imaginative ways and each dish was meant to dissuade shoppers from stockpiling.
