Hawksmoor recruits star London chefs for its biggest ever charity dinner

Not content with becoming the UK’s de facto grill masters, all-conquering steak house, Hawksmoor, has also been busy raising money for charity over the last 10 years. To date, Hawksmoor has raised an incredible £800,000 for Action Against Hunger, and the team are pulling out all the stops this year to try and reach their goal of £1 million that will greatly support the charity’s critical work in tackling extreme hunger around the world.

In order to reach this aim, Hawksmoor has pulled together a star-studded line up from London’s culinary landscape; Tomos Parry, of Brat Restaurant, and Florence Knight, of Sessions Arts Club, will join Hawksmoor executive chef Matt Brown at Hawksmoor Guildhall on 10 September to cook up a once in a lifetime feast.

Parry and Knight are arguably two of the brightest stars in the capital at the moment – Parry's Brat recently landed at number 81 in the World’s Best Restaurants list, whilst Knight’s Sessions Arts Club has been lauded as one London’s most exciting restaurants.

Hosted by award-winning writer, journalist and broadcaster, Jay Rayner, the event will kick off with a drinks reception, with canapes from the chefs and cocktails concocted by Liam Davy, Hawksmoor’s Head of Bars. Following the reception, guests will be treated to a four-course menu with Florence Knight bringing the starter; Tomos Parry presenting a fish course with flavours of the Basque country; before Matt Brown takes over with Hawksmoor’s showstopper steak feast. Both Parry and Knight will be on hand to compliment the star of the show with a selection of sides and sauce. To finish off, the chef’s hat will be passed back to Tomos for dessert.

Priced at £200 a person, the tickets include the banquet, wine accompaniments chosen by Clara Rubin, Hawksmoor’s Head of Wine and a live auction of art and top-class experiences such as gourmet dinners and hotel getaways. If you're interested you can buy tickets for the Hawksmoor Charity Dinner 2022 here; here’s hoping they make that £1 million target.
