Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has revealed the secret to his incredible three-stone weight loss in a television interview.
Ramsay, known around the world for his restaurants such as Mayfair’s Lucky Cat and Petrus in Knightsbridge, recently revealed how he shed three stone and eight pounds during an appearance on American talk show The Today Show.
While most people believe that the key to shedding the pounds is eating less, Ramsay is actually an advocate for eating more food. The Michelin-starred chef said: “I’m very good now at eating five times a day, but small amounts as opposed to big breakfast, big lunch and big dinner.
“There’s nothing worse than eating dinner at 5.30 and then having to get up and cook for three hours.”
Ramsay explained that instead of eating the traditional three meals of breakfast, lunch and dinner, he instead enjoys five small meals a day. He continued: “I like to keep on my toes and eat small bits. Almost like in Hong Kong - four or five times a day, small bowls of food.”
The chef’s switch up of his diet plan helped him to shrink down from 19st 4lb to 15st 10lb. Ramsay has shared his weight loss journey with his army of fans on his personal Instagram page (@gordongram), which at the time of writing boasts 8.1 million followers.
Back in December, the chef posted a topless picture of himself and two of his sons on the beach, sporting matching festive swimming shorts for Christmas. Fans flooded the post with praise for Ramsay’s impressive physique. One commented that Gordon looked “incredible”, while another joked: “Gordon you look like a David Hasselhoff carbon copy, from the bulging muscles down to the red Baywatch shorts.”
