Located on the corner of Castle Street, a five minute walk from Pier Head, Neighbourhood is the perfect spot for a weekend brunch or late night cocktails. Decorated with an eclectic mixture of flower walls, bright neon signs, and huge murals the restaurant has an unapologetically energetic vibe. For seating guests can choose between electric pink booths, bar stools or regular tables.
Neighbourhood’s brunch runs from 12-4pm on Friday and 10am-6pm on Saturday and Sunday. The bottomless brunch menu includes the cocktail of the day, as well as Prosecco, tea and coffee. If you fancy some familiar favourites, the brunch menu offers eggs royale, eggs Benedict and Neighbourhood’s own version of avocado toast which is topped with guacamole and pomegranate. However, aside from the classics, the restaurant’s brunch menu also features West coast staples such as Californian-style sushi, filled with asparagus and truffle mayo, and Caesar salad.
If you’re not a morning person, don’t fear, as Neighbourhood is open for dinner every day. The restaurant offers a ‘Never Going Home’ special on Thursday nights, featuring unlimited beers, cocktails or Prosecco as well as a choice of food. All orders come with truffle fries, and any two dishes from the ‘Never Going Home’ menu, which includes popcorn chicken, sliders and battered prawns. The main menu continues the upscale dive bar theme, with crab mac and cheese bites. However, for those fancying something a bit more substantial, Neighbourhood offers a 1kg steak for two, and a sizable Southern fried chicken dinner which comes with honey butter, chips and American-style biscuits and gravy.
If you don’t fancy brunch, or just want something a bit more traditional at the weekend, you’re in luck because on Sundays Neighbourhood runs a bottomless Sunday roast from noon. The Sunday roast menu offers Black Angus beef, a half roast chicken and a vegan option which includes vegan gravy and roasties.
